I have recently been going through the traffic that various postings attract. I have noticed that Flyer Friday has been something that you readers don't seem to be interested in. Is this right? The reason that I am asking, is that if no one out there is finding it beneficial, I am going to discontinue posting sales. If you, readers, enjoy, look forward to, find it beneficial to you to have some of the sales presented to you, please let me know and I will start going back to it.

Got a Sweet Tooth?
This post initially was to let you all know about the sale for this week at Shoppers Drugmart. You see, I have a beef with their flyers. They only let people in the city/town know about the sales in their food flyers. They are the only people that get those special flyers. Even if you go online, unless you put in a urban postal code, you are not able to access their flyer. I think this stinks.
Thankfully, I have a friend that lives "in town" who lets me know when things like eggs, butter and sugar are on sale there. I use her postal code online to be able to view each week as well. However, last evening, I found out from two friends about sugar going on up in price do to the rain happening in Brazil and India where a lot of our sugar comes from. I looked on the news and found this from ctv. They are talking about sugar going up to three times the amount in the next bit. Now we know that this isn't just sugar, but all grocery/baking items that contain sugar as well that will go up.
So the moral is, get your sugar this week on sale at Shoppers and if they are out please don't forget RAINCHEQUES!!!!!!!! Then you have an extra month to stock up on this item.

Flyer Friday!
I get so disappointed when my flyers don't come. I could have sworn I saw flyer man drive by on Wednesday. I could have sworn he slowed down. But alas, I was disillusioned, so once again a ventured online to retrieve my flyers.
This week Coop has some really good sales on. The one that I will mention here is their butter. 1 lb for $3.79.
Superstore has Honey Bunches of Oats on for $2 this week. PLUS they have the lovely coupon board as you enter their store. There you will find a coupon for $0.75 off each box! Lovely deal! Can't complain about getting a box of cereal for $1.25, now can you? This cereal tastes really good with Activia yogurt on top of it as well. And wait - it's on sale this week at Superstore as well! 2/$7! What a great treat. Superstore also has Black Diamond Cheese 500g on for $4.77 and Minute Maid Orange Juice 3/$4.
Did you miss the fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts on sale last week at Superstore? Were you not able to get a raincheque? Well, you are in for a deal this week as Sobeys has their's on sale for $8.80/kg. Personally, I like their chicken much better. Less fat on it and it's trimmed nicer.

It's Flyer Day!
I know, it's sad, but I do get so excited for the flyers to come. In fact, I am awfully let down when flyerman doesn't drop mine off and I have to go looking online for them. I know it's more environmentally friendly, but there is something that I thoroughly enjoy about the tangibility of holding the flyer in my hand, of circling the deals I find and of cross referencing the sales between the different flyers. Anyone else out there like me?
I was asked by a reader to start posting sale prices on here. As I replied in a previous post, I really only look for what I buy. However, I have started to open my eyes to see what might be a good sale for others out there. I am only going to put on the REALLY good deals that maybe you should stock up on.
Too bad I didn't start this last week. There were some really good meat sales on at three of the grocery stores here. I went out last night to catch the sales at the end of the week, hoping that I would be able to get raincheques. I certainly lucked out at all three stores!
Lesson for all: when there is a really good sale on and you want more of it than you can afford at that moment, make sure you and your friends are on the look out for the stores being out of stock so that you can get a raincheque. It certainly helps out.
